My Sparkly Life in Instagram: NYCC 2013

Bathroom selfies right before a redeye flight, on which I did not sleep a wink.

Immediately upon reaching our hotel, we had to take weird pictures of the Fangasm crew. It's just how these things work. // Reunited with my beautiful, perfect, wonderful bff Kristin. <3 // The NYCC Fangasm crew on Thursday! // Regina gave us all little Stan Lee Pop! Figures! AHH!

Kristin and I with the beautiful Ashley Eckstein of Star Wars & Her Universe fame! // Drunk selfies with Regina. We were channeling Miley Cyrus? // CHOCOBROS!! // Our AMAZING fan Pattie made the Fangasm ladies these insanely awesome Darth Vader rings. THANK YOU, PATTIE!!
Sexy Professor Layton. One of the best things I've ever seen. // Obsessed with my new limited edition undead Alpaca plush from Tasty Peach Studios! // The new Psylocke statue from Kotobukiya is so beautiful that I don't even know what to do with myself. // Visiting Endor with Kristin.

I NEED THEM ALL. The non colored prototypes for the rest of the Sailor Scouts were there, too. UUUGH.

Champagne toasts and Regina smelling Kristin's hair. That was a bizarre running theme throughout the convention... // Morning selfies as I procrastinated. // Super Best Friends Forever Poison Ivy statue by Lauren Faust! She was an NYCC Exclusive and I'm so happy to have her - she looks amazing by my SBFF exclusives from SDCC. // Not only did I find an Ah! My Goddess statue (I love that anime), it was absolutely stunning. Need.

We got to see our lord and master Stan Lee again for the first time since we filmed Fangasm. He is always so amazing and gracious.

Last day selfies with my Kristin. I miss her already :-( // Bonnie!!! // With Jill and Kristin, two of the most amazing geek ladies I know. // And finally... reading material for the flight home!

Photo dump time! I just returned home from New York Comic-con on Sunday and I am predictably afflicted with convention plague (gives me an excuse to play a LOT of Pokemon X, though!). The trip was amazing - I met so many great people and saw a bunch of old friends. I abused my liver and had a lot of laughs, got some good toys, and fell in love with NYC all over again. It was probably one of the best NYC trips I've had - convention or otherwise.

The real SLR photographs will be up later this week (I have to edit them first!), but for now here's the snaps from my phone over the weekend.

Who went to NYCC? Did you enjoy yourself?

My Sparkly Week, As Portrayed by Instagram // June 24-30

Saying goodbye to Kristin right before I left LA :-( (If you like my hat, you can get a similar one here!) // "Welcome home" whiskey drinks with the waifu! // Bein' cute at karaoke // My amazing friend Tobias brought me unicorn sugar cookies to welcome me home!!

MY UNICORNS!!! I missed you ever so much. I just returned from Los Angeles and my insane adventures down there on Monday, and after seven days I'm finally feeling recovered and (mostly) up to par. I've been slowly easing back into social media and blogging, so expect regular outfit posts again very soon! I also have some fun new features coming up for you... DIY, exploring Seattle's local clothing shops and eateries, my beauty favs, makeup tutorials... the Geeky Peacock is rocketing quickly into full blown blogging mode again! So make sure to keep an eye out for these things in the near future.

But now the big news, which I will announce in a more official capacity in the near future: The reason I was down in LA for the past month and a half and completely without social media access was because I was FILMING A TV SHOW. Yes, yours truly is finally fulfilling her mad dreams of being on TV - this October! I'm SO EXCITED, and I'll be able to tell all of you more once the promos come out.

A lot has happened since I last blogged - namely the TV show - but I'm also single now. Dan broke up with me right before I headed down to LA, which was a pretty big blow. But now I have my cute apartment to myself and I'm coping by surrounding myself with friends and projects. In other words: I'm doing just fine!

I'm in mad preperation mode for San Diego Comic-con [it's in two weeks, what?!] and my cosplay all seems to be coming along nicely. I'm definitely doing Steampunk Wonder Woman (she is going to look EVEN BETTER this year) and Super Villain Cruella Deville. However, I may be adding another costume to the line up - a secret I'm embarking up with my lovely waifu, Sarah Hiraki. I will say this: it's going to be cute. REALLY cute.

Anyway, tl;dr: TV show, blogging yay, and I missed you guys!! Here's the rest of the IG pics!

My precious Sushi, so happy to have me home and getting all the tummy rubs she could ever want // I'm on a total houseplant kick! My mantle is starting to look like a jungle. I'm going to put these cuties into terrariums soon. // Madness with Emily and Sarah before Friday night girl's night // My face. Yep.

Drunk girls out for Seattle Pride!! // Next day hangover cure/heat beating: bubble tea and battleships. Sarah and I have weird Battleship ESP with one another. // Mint obsession! // I have such a babely best friend.

Snuck away from a weird birthday dinner and took bathroom pics like classy broads. // THIS SODA HOLY SHIT. // Tried Mac's "Candy Yum Yum" lipstick. NEED TO BUY WITH NEXT PAYCHECK. // Sarah and I escaped the horrible heat by walking around the mall. The Mac store has good lighting. Thus: selfies.

PS: Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin' since GFC is going away!!

My Sparkly Week, as Portrayed by Instagram #2

The incredible tote bag I received courtesy of Whimsy Bags. I can't wait to wear it in an outfit post this week!! // Daniel brought me this tiny horse the other morning - he found him abandoned on the mean streets of Seattle, and knew I would give him a good home. I was hungover and it brightened my morning. I named him Oscar Wild - hardy har, get it? // Apparently there's Little Twin Stars perfume. I found it at the Good Will... I really wanted it, but it smelled quite terrible. // Sushi is very sleepy. She is also very cute when she sleeps. // Sushi made a friend!! His name was Harley Davidson. He gave her face kisses! She is channeling very much durp here. // My friend Mandy scored me this awesome unicorn wallet. I'm very excited. // I love Seattle <3 // Graffiti in the women's restroom at AFK Tavern.

My Sparkly Week, as portrayed by Instagram

My desk at work is certainly not lacking in ponies. // Neon Mani/Pedi! I went to an awesome little place called Night Light Nail Salon. They gave Angie and I paraffin wax treatments, foot and neck/face massages... it was awesome, and really affordable. // All blinged out before filming on Wednesday for a super secret project. // Lita power! With Angeline, who had her legs wrapped around me for a creep while we were sitting on the ground waiting for our ride. // Aforementioned Angie and I as we continued to wait for our ride and did a little camera whoring. // Even more Angie and Molly, posing in the bathroom mirror at the Science Fiction museum. // Decompressing after two very long days, Molly style: Wearing a Pikachu kigurumi courtesy of cosplayshopper.com, eating ice cream, and watching the Inbetweeners. // Thrift score!! Nine West ankle boots for only 10 bucks at Good Will! I am in LOVE.

My Life in Instagram: SDCC

I took a LOT of photos at San Diego Comic-con with my "real" camera (my Canon 5D Mark II), but as usual my trusty iPhone was there to document the more spontaneous moments and awesome encounters with fantastic people that I got to revel in at this year's San Diego Comic Con.

In the San Francisco airport. I <3 Virgin Airlines. // The Epic Star Wars wallet I got on the last day of SDCC. It happily replaced my poor falling apart Hello Kitty wallet. // Myself and two of my favorite ladies in the world, Chrissy Lynn & Mac // Again with Chrissy, Mac, and also one of my FAVORITE people in the world, Brea Grant! This was at her rad SDCC party - there was bowling! // I did SOMETHING to piss off Wolverine. The sexy Logan cosplayer is the similarly delicious Jim Logan // At the IGN party with the perfectly sexy Adrianne Curry (who was dressed up like Raptor Jesus!) // Outfit for the day on Friday (I love that wig so goddamn much. I wore it almost the entire convention) // Out partying with my Seattle friend and fellow geek blogger, Tara/The Geeky Hostess // Insanely good Labyrinth cosplay // Meagan Marie getting her hair cut by Vampy in the bathroom of my hotel room, pre-con // EXTERMI-SOCK! // With Felicia Day at her awesome Geek and Sundry party // Ran into Lucas Till at the IGN party. I am a big fan of Havok and thus had to get a photo with him; it turns out he knows my dear friend Hunter James! Small world // My hotel room at the Hard Rock looked down upon where they had all the major parties during SDCC. This was the Twilight party.(eww) // The most adorable femme Doctor cosplayers EVER! // Oh you know, just me and the FRAKKIN' DOCTOR IN MY FRAKKIN' HOTEL ROOM // Myself and the adorable Breat Grant again. Guys, I seriously cannot express how much I adore that woman. // Looking way too un-excited about being next to Blake Anderson at the Workaholics party // With Ben McCool at the ifanboy.com rooftop party. I adore this bloke // Hanging out with John Roderick at the Mythbusters party. He is such good people. // KAWAII UGUUU~ at dinner with the talented cosplayer Monika Lee // Waiting in line for the Workaholics party with Karen Wang. She let me put red lipstick on her! Doesn't she look precious? // I <3 Marian Call. Alaskan power! // Ran into Blake Anderson (for the first time, before the Workaholics party) in the lobby of my hotel. He was very nice - we talked about Alaska and he sat and chatted with me for about ten minutes. // I LOVE JANNA!!!! // Ran into Amy Ratcliffe outside of the convention center. Saw her for all of two seconds at the con - wish it would have been more! At least we snapped a pic. // More KAWAII UGUU~ with Kyle Newacheck // At the Geek and Sundry party with talented writer and my dear friend Sterling Gates // Fancy fancy before parties on Friday?? night
