Outfit #31: The Clinton Years
Dress: Thrifted // Platform Boots: Thrifted // Hoodie: Thrifted // Vest: Yard Sale // Pink Cross: eBay // Pink Skeleton Pony Ring: DeaStar (Purchased at AkiCon 2011) // iPhone Case c/o Take Cover
The fact that the 90s are coming back in full force has me more delighted than I should probably admit. I've been looking at photos of Clarissa Explains it All and My So Called Life for inspiration. Just please: no giant shoulder pads in ill fitting blazers!! If that comes back to trend I may have to run amuck with a razor blade, chopping up people's shoulders whilst laughing maniacally. In fact, I take it upon myself to liberate the shoulder pads from any vintage dresses I try on at thrift stores. YOU'RE WELCOME, WORLD OF FASHION. That should be my superpower: vanquishing shoulder pads.
Anyway, I had an aneurism when I found these boots. Ironically, they came into my possession at Good Will whilst Daniel and I were there searching for our Mulder and Scully Halloween costumes (flawless victory, by the way. I got the most terrible camel colored pantsuit). These Spice Girl esque monstrositys were innocently awaiting me for 8 dollars, and I sprung upon them like a starved lioness upon a plump gazelle. Then I ran across the store in them and chortled while I stuck my feet in Daniel's line of vision and he pretended to be as excited as I was (good boy).
I'm all flippy the birdy because I feel like I look like a don't give a fuck 90s bitch in this outfit. (I'm actually very friendly, I promise!). Ugh, gag me with a spoon.
The only issue I have with this outfit is that I wish I had darker lips, but I couldn't find my Kat Von D in Homegirl until AFTER I took the photos. DJHSDUHDUH. First world problems.
Also, what the hell is going on with my nails. They are peeling off in layers (like the actual nail!), which means nail polish comes off in about half an hour. How do I fix this?! Are my cuticles unhealthy?! WHAT IS GOING ON?! HELP ME, UNICORNS!

Outfit #30: Eccentric Poet Granny
Sparkly Peter Pan Collar Blouse c/o Lavishville // Pleated Leather Skirt: F21 // Cozy Oversized Sweater: Thrifted // Shoes: Litas by Jeffrey Campbell // Bowler Hat: H&M // Unicorn Ring c/o Amelia Mays // Pegasus Bracelet c/o Two Strange P // Oscar Wilde iPhone Case c/o Another Case
It's freezing today, and I couldn't be happier. I love wrapping up in cozy, oversized sweaters that are becoming threadbare. It makes me feel like an eccentric poet. Or a granny. An eccentric poet granny.
I'm going to start using this ring as a self defense apparatus. Dude tries to mug me in the alley? No problem! UNICORN TO THE EYE SOCKET. Wham bam!
I'm obsessed with Oscar Wilde. I kissed his grave in Paris. I believe if he were alive today, I could turn that man straight. And even if I couldn't, he would be my gay bff. I have genuinely read a Portrait of Dorian Gray so many times I could probably recite about half of it. He was genuinely such a genius of wordiness.

Outfit #12: Timey Wimey Wibbly Wobbly
Dress: Thrifted // Shoes: Steve Madden (Thrifted) // Hat: Thrifted // Jewelry c/o Urban Industries // iPhone case c/o Crowsmack
I would make a good companion, don't you think?
I am madly in love with my teensy, delicate TARDIS and 11th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver from Urban Industries. It's not very often that geeky jewelry is also so feminine and lovely.
My adorable unicorn case is from Crowsmack. They just made some original art Doctor Who cases. I'm dying.

Outfit #10: Lightning Bolt
Dress: Forever 21 // Vest: Yard Sale // Boots: Thrifted // Incredible Unicorn Bag c/o Whimsy Bags // Necklace/Earrings c/o Nature Look // iPhone case c/o Da Vinci Case
This is what I wore the other night to see Lightning Bolt, which was BY FAR ONE OF THE MOST FACE MELTING SHOWS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. Seriously, I'm still trying to re-attach it to my skull. But since I was so busy watching people awkwardly spaz out to noise rock, I didn't have time to take an outfit shot - hence the lateness of this (I re-created it, just for you guys. Awww!)
HOW AMAZING IS THIS UNICORN TOTE. It was sent to me by Whimsy Bags, and I essentially want to use it every day from now on. You should go check out the rest of the stuff in her shop - it's all lovely.
And the gorgeous matching necklace and earring set is from Nature Look. I'm usually not much of a fan of matchy matchy, but these definitely are the exception to the rule. They're so delicate and lovely!
This may be one of my favorite iPhone cases. I love that it's an edgy sugar skull. It was sent to me by the fantastic Da Vinci Case.
