Outfit #64: Goodnight, and Good Luck!

Dress: Thrifted (Similar) // Jacket: Thrifted (Similar) // Belt: Forever21 (Similar) // Shoes c/o Naughty Monkey

Don't mind the title! I've always had a flair for melodrama...

This blog entry is to let you know that for the next six weeks I am going to be very, VERY quiet. I will be running away to follow my dreams and embark on the most epic project of my life - a project that is going to change the course of my career and is literally fulfilling everything I have ever wanted. I am so, so excited, and I will return to all of you in July - and then I will be able to talk about this super secret project!

Thank you so much for all the support you've all offered over the years. I love you all. See you on the other side!

Outfit #63: Minty Fresh

Polka Dot Dress: H&M (Similar) // White Faux Leather Vest: Forever 21 (Similar) (Gift from Dan's mom. Thanks Jenny!) // Mint Platforms: Forever 21 (Similar) // Spiked Headband: eBay (Similar) // Spiked Bracelet: Halloween Supply Store haha (Similar) // Unicorn Necklace (Similar) // Mint Geometric Earrings c/o Perfectly Cloudy

Haha, well, I'm apparently still just as bad at updating even though the weather has cheered up. Bad Molly, bad! This post has been sitting in my queue for at least a week - oooops! I am a bad blogger. Everyone scold me! Wait, negative reinforcement doesn't work. Ummm, shower me with praise and tell me how you can't live without the Geeky Peacock and how you DESPERATELY NEED content from me DAILY? Yeah, that one. Do that.

I've actually been taking it easy for the last week or so. I'm waiting on some potentially life changing news this week, so I've been sitting back and smelling the flowers - literally. Until they try to have sex in my nasal cavities and I start to die of an allergy attack but STILL.

Fun fact (in reference to the mint theme I have going on in this outfit): In highschool I was nicknamed Mint. It was a nickname of my own design - I desperately wanted to be an anime character so I gave myself that name. It was a mix between the character Mint from the Playstation RPG "Threads of Fate" (who else remembers that game?) and the fact that I consumed a tin of Altoids every two days. Yeah, my breath was super epic all the time. Except no boys wanted to kiss the real girl - waaah! Don't worry: my Legolas cardboard cut out reaped the benefits. Anyway, everyone thought I was named Mint for a long time! I want to punch teenage Molly in the face.

I'm going to start working on my Steampunk Wonder Woman re-design for SDCC tonight! You guys thought it was good last year? JUST YOU WAIT FOR THIS YEAR. My new friend Chelsea designed it for me and it has a DUSTER. A DUSTERRRRR. I'm probably going to be boiling in San Diego heat but DOESN'T MATTER HAD COSPLAY.

Other SDCC cosplay I need to get my ass in gear on: Polaris from X-men and I need to finish my Super Villain Cruella Deville. I'm trying to decide if I should go for a fourth or not! Anyone have any cosplay suggestions/requests?

Oh, and this is a remix outfit post! I wore this polka dot dress in my last post, too. Yay versatile clothing pieces!

Outfit #62: Just Kickin' It

Dress: H&M (Similar) // Blazer: Thrifted (Similar) // Shoes: Ross (Similar) // Hat: Stolen from my friend Becki (Similar) // Necklace c/o Scarlett Garnet

This outfit has been sitting in my queue for a few days but I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to post it, ahhh! I got this dress a few weeks ago at a second hand shop and I've found many, MANY different ways to style it. I'll be posting a few warddrobe remixes of it in the very near future.
My point: Every girl needs a polka dotted dress.

The necklace I'm wearing is a bullet casing with REAL HORSE HAIR IN IT. If anyone knows me at all, you know how much of a horse fanatic I am, so I'm pretty obsessed with it. Poooonies.

Blog post brought to you by the fact that I've just been listening to 90s rap all morning. So much Notorious B.I.G.

I have a few links to share with you guys!

See you after the weekend, unicorns!

Outfit #61: Meow Meow Meow

Dress c/o Romwe (Similar) // Underskirt/tutu: H&M // Leather Jacket: Love Culture // Belt: Forever21 // Boots: Litas by Jeffrey Campbell // Cat Ears: eBay // Rocket Ship Necklace c/o Eclectic Eccentricity

So I got this delightfully sparkly dress from Romwe AGES ago. I had had my eye on it forever and finally took the plunge, and sadly I wasn't too happy with the quality. It's VERY short on me (hence the underskirt), but then again I am tall. And it's INCREDIBLY, INREDIBLY itchy and painful. The sequins all feel like tiny daggers.

But it's so cute that I have to find a way to make it work >.< Anyone have any suggestions?

Outfit #60: Bunny Tea Time

Dress c/o eShakhti // Leather Jacket: Love Culture // Boots: Litas by Jeffrey Campbell // Hat: H&M // Donut Earrings c/o Zoozim // Teapot Necklace c/o Color Me Kawaii

Ahhh unicorns, these last few days have been ALL over the place for me. I had some business to attend to out of town so I've been popping around on planes for the last few days. I've had very little sleep and there's craters under my eyes but I wanted to get this blog post up before I go take an epic nap!

This entire outfit just delights me to no end. I didn't even mean to, but I ended up making a whimsical, springtime "tea time" theme!

First of all: THE DRESS. I was contacted by this wonderful website called EShakhti. They wanted to see if I would review one of their dresses. A new frock? Of course I agreed! But it wasn't until I began to peruse their website that I found the true awesomeness of this company: THEY MAKE ALL OF THE DRESSES FOR YOUR MEASUREMENTS. What?! As a tall girl with HUGE hips and a tiny waist, this seemed like some sort of godsend to me. SO, after I fell head over heels with this bunny dress (IT'S BUNNIES!!!!), I entered my measurements and customized the length before finally placing my order.

The quality of this dress is amazing. It arrived VERY quickly, it's perfectly tailored to my body, the fabric is high quality and the stitching is incredible. I'm very, very impressed and having a dress tailored to my measurements just made me feel like a rockstar. I REALLY suggest you check it out if - like me - you have "non traditional" body proportions.

And now let's move onto the jewelry. I've been a long time coming making an outfit post with these adorable donut earrings and cute little teapot necklace, but I've worn them a ton and received MANY compliments. I think that tiny food ANYTHING is so cute, so I'm dying over my cute little "tea time" accessories. Both shops have lots of kitschy, kawaii accessories so you should probably go check them out.

Anyway, I'm off to nap for the next ten years. Bye!
